i always wanted to know how to extract audio from exe
what program would i need? Lys User Offline
Try ResHacker, might succeed with that, not sure if it can do that, tho. nope...
rehacker nor uniextract works Then the sound is stored externally. Usually the path for installed games is
C:\Program Files\GameCompany\GameName\
or wherever you specified. If you're lucky they might be stored in an .mp3 or .wav format, if you're unlucky they could be stored in a format only the program can interprete. peid does not se what program that made this
but i have found that its just made in assembler...
also those software doesent seem to work, i never succed getting sound from normal exe....
cant record due othere sound in background... extracting is only way...
any othere ideas
thx Lys User Offline
Well, if it is included in an exe then it has a reason. You can seriously find out what the sounds are called (or rather music?) and check if you find it on the internet. as it is already in a software, i doubt you are allowed to use it anyway, so you can ask the developer of the software if you are allowed to do so and if yes then he can probably give you a link with the asked files. if not, then leave it...
