If you have an alright Internet connection, all of your problems will be solved once you figure out how to properly use a computer. The most stupid thing about Windows, is the fact that it's temporary files (something.tmp and many more, can't remember all of the signs) EAT memory, harddrive space and CPU. A quite efficient method I used yesterday was to search for all files and folders, in hidden folders and subfolders after *.tmp (star-dot-tmp) I found 400 friggin temporary files. Otherwise, I suggest you to buy some faster RAM, yes it's not all about the bytes. RAM has a speed (Hertz - Hz) just like your CPU.

It's not all about internet connection. (I have specified what makes a computer go fast in my previous post), computers are also limited by their ability to send packets through that connection. It's quite possible that in can read/write packets through that connection only at a slower pace than the connection allows. It also might be a rendering issue on the client-side, where all the information is received, but the browser is stuck with a crappy GPU/CPU and takes long to render the page. Since HTML, Javascript, XML, CSS, etc. are interpreted languages, and have to be decoded by each browser, it makes it an even harder job to do with a computer built in 1999.

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't. But IF you are having problems with a coputer from 1999, I suggest you do a little upgrade:

Yea, I'm sure you can just mix and match motherboards from the 90's and the CPUs from the modern day. [/sarcasm]
You are being very silly. The machine is probably still got a Pentium II in it! The chips, sockets and number of pins in RAM/CPU have changed A LOT since 1999.
Stupid
outdated

Of course you're limited to the chipsets/sockets/entrances of your motherboard. Sheesh!
But I would consider changing motherboad big enough a change to go under:

First thing's what Danny Death explained. ( And damn i never knew shit about that. But they still do the same haha )
On the second hand is the fact that everyone isn't a trillionaire and doesn't have time. These days everything is based on fucking business ( commerce and shit ). So only some rare company's get the chance to create and develop hardware for the darn hell of it or for the sake of innovation. So everything these days is expensive, bad quality and made for shitty chief CEO of the company it was made from ( AND IT WAS FUCKING MADE IN CHINA no offense for any Chinese person but screwing companies which put there factories there just screw their products with cheap and shitty material [but the assembly's good there, I'm blaming the companies not the people or the country] ) . Later on the products are expensive, bad quality ,AND not available in most regions in the world ( or has a 400% extra in it's price ). So not all of us can waist 400$ on a mouse when in a e.g Gulf country than pay for the shipping and get a 90% cheap plastic mouse which is 70% of the time defected then have to pay the chipping to send it back ( another 50$ there). ( That whole thing was an example with slight exaggeration, something close happened to me recently... -.- ). Ok so most of that hardware gets expensive and people get greedy ( eg idle hardware for banwith and electricity ) . Then you get internet companies ( robbers) which are the biggest assholes ( enough said you know the story...)
On the third hand ( lol...)... I forgot what i wanted to say...
Ok see if we where all able to build our custome built PC ( not buy shitty prebuilt computer LIKE MOST OF US DO, WE don't even know it's possible ( we=most of us) ) we can get that 10 seconds boot, 3 seconds page load ( that's after inter-continent internet connection cables are enhanced and internet companies stop their shit).
Not to forget we're 2011, computer was created when ? 50 years ago... Com on we still did some shit

Pardon me for my typo's i wrote this message real quick and this tiny text editing box in Unreal Software doesn't help :/.
(Extra... You guys should see what overclocked CUSTOME built computers can do, as an idea some can go 5Ghz with normal fan, if with liquid cooling, some can do 8Ghz just imagine if more people get to know that and more people start using that...
