When I download a lot of mods, they just come as a bunch of files in a zip. What am I supposed to do with to files?
I've tried exporting them to the Stranded 2 mods folder but then when I run S2 it just runs normally.

Also what do I do when I download a mod and it's just a .rar file.

Get a .zip extracting program like 7zip or winrar.
Overwrite the files that you have (Ex. extract sys folder where the stranded sys folder is)
Do that with every file in the .zip

There probably is no other way. Unless one of the scripters makes an .exe next time to do all the work for you.

You just need download a program called winrar.
Then just press the right mouse button on the mod archive and click on extract.

just extract the zip folder and put the folder with the mod-name into the mods-folder.

then create a new text file in the folder where the original exe is.
call it "MODNAME.bat" and write this into the file:

start StrandedII.exe -win -mod "MODNAME"
exit
replace the MODNAME with the actual name of the mod and save, then close the file and start the mod by doubleclicking on it.
