Hi all. Old time player here who use to mod a bit way back when.
I've always just been a silent troll here, but Im getting back into the game after many years and want especially to get properly into modding. If anyones willing to share a bit on their methods and knowledge on creating content for stranded 2, please share. I've mostly gone self taught thus far.

I especially want to know if anyone knows a place I can get b3d models and skins to use for the game. I've mostly just messed around with scripts to "recycle" to create new items, eg turning a canopy tree into a new plantable consumable, brocoli plant, through manipulation of scaling and and such, or make non player items available for building. I'm simply in lack of any experience with creating models and skins, so I make due with what I can. I want to create a mod for diversity and immersion, and though Im aware many do this, I want to do my version of things, based on my preferences and concepts.

I'm updating this post as I go as no one has replied yet...
I've decided to modify the construction system to alleviate the heavy click grinding on large structures by adding a step in the build process.
> converting resources into packs for construction. Eg turning 5 logs into a x5 log pack, and 10 branches into a x10 wood pack ect.
This does simplify building. But I'm also increasing complexity with crafting of nails ect for building. Already have most of this conversion done, and tested successfully.

Will add cloth making, clay + pottery, and other things as I go along. Im worse than a noob to modeling so....
If anyone is willing to donate models or make them for the project, Id be a happy chap.

Update 2.
Plans
I want to change the day/night cycle, make days longer, then adjust energy, water and food drain to balance.

Extend the farming a bit

Extend into some rpg features, mob spawns, random loot drops ect.
